01, TOUR LANTERN MAKING

Experience the traditional handicrafts and enyoy the real daily life of Hoi An local people. One of the greatest pleasure of any visitor to Hoi An is strolling along the beautiful streets of the old town at night under the flickering lights of the many beautiful lanterns.

These colorful lanterns are not only the symbol of Hoi An old town but also a part of the spirit of the Hoi An. We would like to offer you a tour to a traditional Hoi An handicraft village to make the lanterns 

ITINERARY

Local guide will meet you at the hotel and you will take a bicycle to lantern making workshop in the village. Here you will get a brief introduction to the history, shape, and color of the lanterns. Choose your favorite sample of lantern. Do step by step with the craftsman how to make one lantern. Keep this lantern for souvenir. Ride bicycle back to the hotel. End tour.

02, FISH AND CHIPS TOUR

Joining this tour, you will enjoy yourself with fresh Tra Que herb village. Experience on the basket boat to explore Bay Mau coconut forest and Cam Thanh fishing village.

ITINERARY

You will be collected at your hotel lobby and transferred to the meeting point at Ride bicycles to Tra Que Village. Visit the vegetable village and see the daily activities of the local farmers there. Continue riding bicycle along De Vong River to Hoi An Beach dock. Take a boat to Cua Dai sand dune , enjoy casting net show and learn how to cast net by local fisher man.

Continue to Cam Thanh Water coconut village , have a brief introduce to the history there. Take on the basket boat along the water coconut river.  Fisherman will teach you how to catch the crabs ( 02 paxs/ boat).

Embark on the boat, enjoy the folk songs show by local people there. Have lunch at local family house. After lunch, learn how to make funny tools by water coconut leaf. Then visit acraftman house in the village. Bus transfers back the hotel. Tour ends.

03, FARMING LIFE WITH WET RICE

04, COOKING CLASS TOUR

Experience the Vietnamese cuisine and you will have a chance to learn how to make tasty traditional dishes from vegetable.

ITINERARY

Welcome you at the hotel’s lobby. Riding bicycle to Hoi An’s colorful central market. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. So make sure your camera is handy.

Bike to Tra Que vegetable village. Welcome drink for rest and walk through the vegetable gardens where local farmers work on their fields, using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago, no electrical machinery here. Go to the restaurant & work together with the chef. Learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food. After the lesson, enjoy what you have cooked.

05, TRA QUE HERB VILLAGE

Tra Que is a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An, the village is named after the sweet scented vegetables that spice up the every day meals of the Pho Hoi people. Here a new spirit for traditional Hoi An dishes like Cao Lau, Quang noodles, enjoy cooking class served by host with the local ‘Tam Huu’ spring roll which were primarily made from Tra Que vegetables and cake with meat (Banh xeo) has been enlivened. 

ITINERARY

Depart from your hotel and ride bicycle in 30 minutes to Tra Que herb village. Take a short stroll around the vegetable garden and listen to the history of the village. Then join gardening activities in preparing the land, fertilizing with seaweed, raking the ground, sowing, watering, picking vegetables... Enjoy foot soak before getting to preparing lunch with a local family.

Join cooking with ‘Tam Huu’ spring roll, ‘Banh xeo’ - a local pancake of people in Viet Nam middle region ... After your morning excursions and lunch, you learn how to harvest and wrap the vegetables. Bid farewell to your host family before riding back to your hotel. End the tour.

06, THANH HA POTTERY & KIM BONG CARPENTRY VILLAGE

In the 16th and 17th century Thanh Ha was a thriving village. It was famous for earthenware that was sold in many provinces throughout Central Vietnam. It was Thanh Ha villagers who made the bricks, tiles and floor slabs for the old buildings in Hoi An and the surrounding areas. Nowadays many old buildings in Hoi An need restoring and the Thanh Ha villager are the only contractors that can provide standardized bricks, tiles and floor slabs exactly like the ones when the old port town prospered.

KIM BONG CARPENTRY VILLAGE

Kim Bong carpentry village is located at Cam Kim Hamlet. This village is very famous for its carpentry, as almost all Hoi An ancient architecture were produced by their ancestors' talented hands at a time when Hoi An flourished as a major sea port.

Kim Bong carpenters' technique are perfect. Their sculptured works on the head of scissors, slanting, desks, altars, furniture, cabinets, trays, and the like, are masterpieces admired by everyone.

Today, Kim Bong carpenters still keep their old career, although there have been many among them who have shifted to ship building and recovering historical monument or relics. Many products are sold to tourists and over-sea.

ITINERARY

Walk to the Bach Dang dock where you will embark on the boat. Enjoy yourself on the riverside atmosphere.

Arrive Thanh Ha pottery village where you can learn and explore the daily life of local people. Observe all the steps of making a pottery product such as vase, pot, kettle, cooking pot. Continue to visit Kim Bong carpentry village, listen to the history of the village, come to visit the ship-building yards, see the handicrafts and sculptures. Return to Bach Dang dock where your tour ends.
